Investing in Africa's Future

Africa University is a private, Pan-African and United Methodist-Related institution located in Zimbabwe.  Its guiding vision, campus community, leadership, management and mission are international in character. Twenty-two (22) African countries are represented amongst the University's current enrolment.  The university's goal is to nurture responsible and well adjusted graduates who will take up leadership roles at a local, national and international level with all the challenges the rapidly developing world poses.

For the past three years Londonderry UMC provided tuition, room and board for our sponsored student Milca Antonio from Angola, who graduated on June 6, 2009. Pastor Wes was able to meet with both Milca and her father at the United Methodist Church General Conference in 2008, and they both expressed their deep gratitude for our life-changing support of Milca's education. 

LUMC has committed to provide funds for another student for the 2009-2010 school year.
